BSc Applied Human Nutrition

Lorie has a bachelor’s degree in Applied Human Nutrition from Mount Saint Vincent University and is registered with the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association.  After graduation, she worked for 3 years in the supermarket sector as a Nutrition Promotions Coordinator, providing the public with reliable nutrition information, demonstrations, and store tours.

As part of the multidisciplinary team at the Waverley Road Physiotherapy and Health Care Centre, Lorie is providing one–on-one nutrition counseling to patients with various health issues. Her passion is working with individuals to achieve their goals of weight loss/maintenance, heart healthy eating and working with athletes to help them achieve their peak athletic performance.

Lorie believes that a lot of today’s health concerns can be prevented and or managed with proper diet. Dietitians are the most trusted source of nutrition information. Let Lorie help you assess your nutritional needs and give you the tools to be successful.  When Lorie is not working you can see her walking her dog, running and spending time with her family.
