Education:

Anna received her Bachelor of Arts degree with honours from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec in 2002 before becoming an honours graduate of the Massage Therapy Program at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, Alberta in 2008.  Anna has since completed several additional courses in cranial sacral therapy, neurological inhibition and nerve mobilization. 

Anna was delighted to discover that a strong francophone community exists in the Waverley area and is always keen to use her French language skills with her francophone clients.

Experience:

Having explored careers in publishing and teaching, Anna’s earlier interest in the profession of massage therapy was rekindled with travels abroad that afforded exposure to Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese massage. Since then, Anna hasn’t looked back and has enjoyed working as a massage therapist in chiropractic, physiotherapy and private clinics in Edmonton, Halifax and Rothesay. In January, 2013 Anna moved to Dartmouth to accept the opportunity to practice at the Waverley Road Physiotherapy and Health Care Centre

Clinical Approach:

The human body is a wonderful puzzle and Anna truly enjoys working with clients to figure out how those pieces fit together. Through manual therapy and educating clients in self-care, Anna aims to help people walk out the door feeling their best, whether via therapeutic or relaxation massage.

Collaborating with the on-site physiotherapists, Anna integrates a variety of techniques to address conditions including repetitive strain injuries, chronic pain, tension headaches, and motor vehicle collision injuries.

Fun Facts:

Anna likes being active with a special interest in cycling and yoga.  Other interests include camping, origami and voracious reading.
